I am trying to “refresh” or read the current brightness level of a sign that is running off of a MSD300. When I select refresh, it fails to read and says that there was a “time out” error.
I have tried restarting the program, re-sending the screen configuration, re-sending the rcgfx files, updating the LCT software, restarting the computer, using a different computer, using a different USB-A to USB-b cable, updating the receiving card firmware. Literally everything I could think of but it always fails on the refresh command. It is also failing to change the brightness when I toggle the slider.
Has anyone seen this? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
Hi:
You select brightness to adjust manually, pull a brightness value, and save to the hardware. Will the screen change after that?Is there a problem?
I did try the manual toggle. I found a temporary solution. The sign wouldn’t adjust brightness when the screen was configured using a standard screen but would if the screen was configured with a complex screen. I’ve never seen this and I have no other issues with other screens that use a standard screen.
One other thing that I noticed was that when using a standard screen configuration, the monitoring page would only read from the second port (which didn’t have anything connected) and would show all faults. Could the default to port 2 be connected?

Hi :
You can use the port 2 be connected .but you must configure the display connection then save .try it .
I would have tried that but our customer controls that as they need to write instructions for their field tech. That would have been an entire can of worms that I am not going to open.
Changing the screen configuration to complex solved the problem. Have you seen this before?
