I am new to the forum. Thank you for reading this and for any feedback.
I need to connect a presentation switcher to a MCTRL R5 and I am worried about what output resolution to set on the switcher.
Our LED display is 2112 x 1056, so we chose the MCTRL R5 because it handles 3840 x 1080.
We need to connect a presentation switcher which will scale and switch two different video signals. As far as I can tell, the switchers we have looked at only have standard output formats; the closest to our display size is 2560 x 1440.
I wanted to ask, if we trim the output image down to 2113 x 1056, is it OK to set the switcher output to 2560 x 1440 (or another standard setting) and connect to the MCTRL R5, even though the vertical input is max at 1080?
Very sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am trying to understand how we can interface to the MCTRL R5 properly to get the display to work, but we do not have a controller to test it on. The 3840 x 1080 resolution does not appear to be supported by any of the switcher we have looked at.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance.
Victor
Hi:
Usually, the resolution of the display screen is 2112*1056. If you need a full-screen display, the output resolution of the switcher is 2112*1056. The splicer has the function of scale, so you can have a full-screen display.
