I hope this is in the correct section, if not would the admins move it please.
Back story. I belong to a social club that has a large video wall. However the person who installed and operated it has now left.
So I have been given the task of connecting and operating a 4×4 video wall display.
As far as I am aware all of the hardware is in place.
I know that it was controlled by a laptop and the software was NovaStudio 3.3
The control desk was at the back of the concert room and connected to the screen via cat5 cables There is a network type socket by the desk with two cat5 cables running to behind the screen. Where there is another socket. A cat5 cable runs from the socket into the screens.
There are no other connections or hardware.
Obviously I need to know how to connect a laptop to the system, is it via a cross over cable or straight ? Or is it a HDMI adapter? And what else do I need to know?
Thanks in advance for any help.

@novastar_support hi thanks for your reply.

At the moment I have nothing in place. I will obtain a laptop or desktop when I know what is needed. All that is in place is the cat5 cable running from a box like a telephone connection box. At the screen end a cable goes from a similar box into the back of the screen. I was expecting to find a control box of some type.

I will post some pictures if that will help.

Sorry to be so dumb but I have had this job dumped on me otherwise we will have a few grands worth of useless screen.

I believe it was obtained from the set of a tv programme.

I have just purchased 13 b174-4 panels.  Included was a sending card (msd300).  Photo link showing the panels are below (expires in 1 month).  I am not sure if I am wiring the panels together correctly.  I wired them, as shown in second link, and all three worked, but when I turned them off and unplugged, then plugged back in again, none of them worked.  Can someone provide me with any guidance on what I have done incorrectly?  Thank you.

Hi:

The control computer is connected to the sending card through a USB cable and DVI cable. The sending card or controller is connected to the the receiving cards through network cables. At the same time, the computer provides the video source to the sending card.
